Venture Into Wellness is a Holistic Wellness Practice established for those interested in caring for their body and mind in holistic, nurturing ways. My focus is on helping my clients establish simple, daily habits that serve them in their quest for living a healthy, vibrant life.
Yoga to me is a way of life. Through Yoga, Flexibility and Strength is Gained. Yoga is not about being skinny, super flexible or being able to stand on my head! It is about movement: creating fluidity and strength in the body; and creating calm and a gentleness in the mind. It is filling my body with breath, or life force, Prana. Yoga, for me, is exploring and connecting with my body, mind and spirit, in peace. I achieved my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2019, a long-term dream!
Life is a Journey and Ayurveda hands us a Roadmap towards Wellness. Through Ayurveda, Wellness is the Gift. Ayurveda is an ancient, holistic medical science developed over 5000 years ago in India alongside Yoga. It teaches us how to prevent illness through right diet and lifestyle practices. I graduated from the Kripalu School of Ayurveda in 2009 and subsequently studied with Ayurvedic doctors in India where I learned Ayurvedic bodywork.
Through Massage, Stress and Pain is Reduced. When we carry stress and tension in our body, we carry the roots of disease. My massage is designed to allow the body – and the mind – to release stress, to heal and to be nourished by the deliciously rich oils that I use according to each client’s needs. I specialize in Oncology massage and Ayurvedic bodywork, including Marma therapy (Ayurvedic acupressure) but work with clients using various modalities including Swedish and Lymphatic massage. I also offer Abhyanga - Ayurvedic massage applying an abundance of warm oil to the body, face and head using specific strokes.
