Bridge2Yoga was founded in 2021 by Kimber Quinby. A Yoga practitioner since 2008, she started down the path of teaching in 2019 at Open Door Yoga studio where she was introduced first to somatic responses, Poly Vegal Theory, and the impact of Yoga with body mechanics. This had a large influence since she herself had injuries and was searching for pain relief. After completing training in 2020, Bridge2Yoga was formed.
Bridge2Yoga strives to have a positive impact on each individual interaction through the practice of Yoga, and also provide an inclusive environment to make postures attainable for any body type. Bridge2Yoga specializes in Restorative, Yin and Hatha Yoga. It's more about the quality of the personal experience than the minutes on the mat for exercise. We offer somatic based Yoga to anyone who is willing to participate. This includes Chair Yoga, Yoga for seniors, and adaptable classes so that any beginner can participate with the all levels classes. Bridge2Yoga also has the Yoga philosophies peppered into the the classes to enhance the experience and in hopes to help the practitioners walk a little lighter or at least with something positive to ponder that day. The Yoga taught from Bridge2Yoga is NOT geared for the hyper-mobile individuals that are typically thought of when you think of someone who is great at advanced Yoga. It's for the everyday person, at any level of fitness and at any age. Bridge2Yoga strives for inclusivity and cultural appreciation in each class. |
